3D printing proves itself in NASA rocket test

Three-dimensional printing in the form of selective laser sintering has proved itself in a ground test of a small rocket at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. The process was used to make an injector for the engine, formed from just two parts rather than the usual 115, thanks to 3D printing.
