Nordex agrees to return $2.5M in incentives for Ark. facility

A deal was struck by Nordex USA to return more than $2.5 million in incentives for its Jonesboro, Ark., wind-turbine factory after it said it will stop production at the facility and lay off 40 employees. Nordex will return $2.31 million to the state and $204,814 to the city, said the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. The company is shifting all manufacturing to Germany and keeping the Jonesboro facility as a hub for warehousing, service and training.
