Infrastructure ignored at U.S. political conventions

This week's Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn., is held near the site of a deadly bridge collapse, but Sen. John McCain is not devoting any airtime to infrastructure. Sen. Barack Obama glossed over the topic as well last week at the Democratic National Convention in Denver. Infrastructure is not among the top five priorities for either candidate, as voters worry about Iraq and the economy.
