Md. school increases focus on social studies, seeks technology upgrades

Kindergarten to fourth-grade students at Banner School, a private school in Frederick, Md., will be spending more time on history and geography with an increased emphasis on technology. Changes in the curriculum add literature into geography and history lessons to give students a "better global view," principal Jeff Mott said. The school also is looking to invest in upgrades to technology to "move into the 21st century," he said.
