Flint Hills finalizes takeover of Iowa ethanol plant

Kansas-based Flint Hills Resources has wrapped up its acquisition of the Platinum Ethanol facility in Arthur, Iowa. The plant has the capacity to produce 110 million gallons of ethanol, 300,000 pounds of distillers dried grains with solubles and about 23 million pounds of corn oil annually. The deal brings the number of Flint Hills-owned ethanol plants to six, with a combined annual capacity of 660 million gallons.
