Hotel industry makes room for grocery delivery

Grocery delivery to a hotel is beginning to expand beyond select-service and extended-stay properties and into boutique and luxury ones, offering guests an alternative from room service or restaurant fare. The trend allows guests to save on full-service expenses and offers a chance to experience local cuisine, while hotels avoid the loss often associated with food and beverage. Small luxury boutique chain Affinia Hotels recently partnered with FreshDirect.
