Images of partying on social media may influence teen behavior

Teens who saw friends' photos of drinking alcohol or partying on social networking sites had a greater likelihood of displaying such risky behaviors themselves, according to a report in the Journal of Adolescent Health. The impact of seeing such online pictures was more prominent on MySpace compared with Facebook, researchers said.
