Ohio must recognize marriage of widowed gay man, judge rules

A federal judge has ordered Ohio to recognize a widowed gay man's marriage, marking the second time since July that the state has been compelled to recognize a marriage involving a same-sex couple. Judge Timothy Black ruled that Cincinnati resident David Michener is eligible to be listed as "spouse" on his husband's death certificate. Black cited the Supreme Court's ruling against DOMA in his decision.
