SPECT/CT system from Siemens gains FDA clearance

The FDA granted clearance for Siemens Healthcare to market its Symbia Intevo SPECT/CT system, first introduced at the SNMMI Annual Meeting this year. The technology yields quantitative and high-resolution SPECT data and includes features designed to cut CT radiation dose by as much as 68%, the company said.
