Architecture, engineering and construction firms could benefit from 12 applications that are expected to streamline the implementation of augmented reality. Kaiser Permanente's Oakland Medical Center project is an example of the largest application of AR technology, and building professionals could access information through quick-response codes. "The intent was to keep it as simple and easy as possible for the end users in field," said Chris Pechacek, virtual design and construction director for McCarthy Building Companies, the project's general contractor.
