City Council in Iowa is considering limiting liquor licenses

City leaders in Davenport, Iowa, are considering an ordinance that would limit liquor licenses in the downtown area by implementing a distance requirement of at least one-quarter mile between carry-out liquor stores in the area. The downtown community voiced support for the ordinance, which was backed by the development committee on Wednesday. It will next go to the full council for a vote.
