Firm creates functioning prototype of robotic surgery device

Titan Medical said it has developed a working prototype of its robot-aided surgical device called the Single Port Orifice Robotic Technology, or Sport. The device, which is being groomed for a pilot launch, enables doctors to perform surgeries using small instruments introduced into the patient's body through a 25-millimeter incision in the abdomen.
