Reduced-calorie diet improves liver fat, insulin sensitivity in obese

Adopting a hypocaloric diet for six months resulted in improved liver fat and metabolism two years later, according to a study in Diabetes Care. Researchers also noted better liver function, hepatic insulin resistance and whole-body insulin sensitivity in patients despite weight regain after the diet intervention.
