Upcoming FCC agenda includes UHF discount, Bloomberg-Comcast issue

The Federal Communications Commission at its Sept. 26 public meeting is expected to vote on a notice of proposed rulemaking that would end the UHF discount used for determining a station group's ownership cap. Such a move could limit the expansion of so-called super groups, writes John Eggerton. Another key agenda item is a final ruling on Bloomberg TV's complaint that it should be part of Comcast's "news neighborhood." That was a condition set by the FCC when Comcast merged with NBCUniversal.
