When traffic crawls, Mercedes sedan will take over the driving

Mercedes-Benz has developed an autonomous-driving option for its S-Class sedans that can function in congested traffic. The Stop & Go Pilot add-on makes use of five cameras, six radar sensors and a dozen ultrasonic detectors. “Autonomous drive won’t come as a revolution overnight,” said Jochen Hermann of Mercedes. “The driver needs to get used to the technology.”
