Are traffic accidents a CSR issue?

Road accidents kill 1.3 million people a year, and CSR professionals should be doing more to reduce that number, writes Elaine Cohen. Anyone who drives a company car should be properly trained, risky on-the-road behaviors should be punished and driver health inspections should be mandatory. "The CSR manager must understand the risks and benefits of proactively managing road safety as an integral part of the CSR mandate," Cohen argues.
