NextGen could revolutionize air travel, experts say

The Next Generation Air Transportation System, known as NextGen, could revolutionize the skies by making air travel safer, lower airplanes' carbon footprints, save fuel and reduce flight delays. "This will fundamentally change how people fly," said Michael Huerta, the Federal Aviation Administration's deputy administrator. However, NextGen depends on the willingness of the government and airlines to pay for it.
