Wellness plan earns Scripps workers free insurance

Scripps spends $3 million a year on its wellness program and reported that in 2010 there were 5,583 employees who qualified for no-premium health coverage, which means they got a health screening, completed a wellness challenge and earned points by participating in other programs. Offerings include individualized health coaching, on-site farmers markets, an employee health clinic, discounted fitness classes and chair massages.
