Hospitals improve in collecting, reporting HAI data, survey says

A Premier health care alliance survey found that hospitals have improved in the collection and reporting of data on health-care-associated infections. About 60% of hospitals already are enrolled in the CDC's National Healthcare Safety Network ahead of a 2011 Medicare mandate to disclose data on specific central-line-associated bloodstream infections.
