Study notes efficacy of shared medical appointments in diabetes care

A previously published study presented at the annual meeting of the American Association of Diabetes Educators suggests that incorporating shared medical appointments in diabetes care may help improve disease education in patients. The project, carried out at a practice in south Texas, also resulted in an increased number of eye exams and urine tests for patients.
