EPA withdraws 2 proposed chemical rules that are "no longer necessary"

The Environmental Protection Agency will withdraw two proposed chemical rules, one that would have created a "chemicals of concern" list and another that would have set restrictions on chemical-makers protecting formulations as confidential business information. The regulations, proposed under the Toxic Substances Control Act, are "no longer necessary," the EPA said.
