Mexican president proposes growth-oriented fiscal reform

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto made public a broad range of fiscal reform in his 2014 budget plan. Measures include a tax cut for state-run oil monopoly Petróleos Mexicanos and a delay in a valued-added tax on medicine and staple food. "Mexicans are demanding that the country grows starting now," he said.
