USAID grants the Conrad Program $100M for anti-HIV effort

The U.S. Agency for International Development has awarded a $100 million grant to the Conrad Program of the Eastern Virginia Medical School to help finance its HIV prevention research. The project is focused on developing microbicides that can protect against the virus, as well as other sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancy.
