Neuralstem secures patent for stem cell transplantation

Neuralstem has received a patent for the production and transplantation of neural stem cells for the treatment of nervous system disorders. The company is awaiting a decision from the FDA on its request to start human trials of its stem cell therapies for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig's disease.
