Indian city aims to build Asia's largest blood bank

Chennai, India, is planning to build the largest blood bank in Asia. The bank is expected to include a large storage space for blood and a facility for the harvesting of protein from blood plasma. The extracted protein, which is called immunoglobulin and works as an antibody, is in demand as a treatment for various conditions in the area.
