Dooley: Obama jobs plan would benefit from wide-ranging energy plan

President Barack Obama's speech to Congress on Thursday detailed several steps to boost the economy, but it did not mention comprehensive energy ideas that could help the manufacturing sector, said Cal Dooley, president and CEO of the American Chemistry Council. "A policy that will have long-lasting and the same significant impact on the U.S. manufacturing competitiveness lies [in] a domestic-energy policy that fully develops our oil and natural gas as well as our alternative and renewable-energy sources," he said.
