IEEE-USA seeks changes to L-1 visa program following report

IEEE-USA is asking U.S. lawmakers to rein in a controversial visa program for foreign workers following a report from the Department of Homeland Security's inspector general that found the majority of its beneficiaries are Indian companies and their workers. "The IG report documents the increasing concerns that we have been hearing from our members that this sensible program for international managers and specialists has become a tool for shipping American jobs overseas," said Marc Apter, president of IEEE-USA.
