Industry reps discuss opportunities tied with shale gas revolution

Several industry executives shared their thoughts about how to best benefit from abundant natural gas supplies driven by the shale drilling boom. "It's getting harder to say no to natural gas" because liquefied and compressed natural gas cost less than conventional fuels such as diesel, said Paul Smith, senior director of infrastructure with America's Natural Gas Alliance. Frank Casey, gas sales lead at XTO Energy, said the company sees "opportunities in the heavy-duty and marine sectors."
