Column: Flight issues, frustrations outweigh improvements

Columnist Scott McCartney says that airlines this summer have improved their on-time arrival percentages, have done a better job of handling luggage and have received fewer complaints from passengers. All those improvements, however, are being overshadowed by lengthy tarmac delays and other frustrating situations.
