GM's new chairman to star in relaunch effort, source says

A series of TV spots relaunching General Motors Co. reportedly will feature the troubled automaker's new chairman, Edward Whitacre Jr., who will ask consumer to give GM's models a chance. The campaign also will include spots that showcase the downsized auto giant's four remaining nameplates: Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac.
