Gestational diabetes may raise ADHD risk in children

Mothers who had gestational diabetes and/or low socioeconomic status may increase a child's risk of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, according to a study published in the Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine. However, breast-feeding appeared to offer protective benefits against developing ADHD, researchers said.
