Abuse-resistant pain combo shows efficacy in late-stage study

An oral, extended-release combination of oxycodone and acetaminophen called MNK-795 was shown to be effective at controlling pain and to have abuse-deterrent properties that decrease its "likability," according to research presented at PAINWeek. Researchers compared the drug to a placebo and to Percocet in varying dosages.
