EPA to hand over monitoring of ExxonMobil spill to Montana

The Environmental Protection Agency is seeking to transfer oversight of ExxonMobil's oil-spill cleanup efforts in Montana to state officials. The company's workers have cleared most river segments polluted with crude, said Steve Merritt, EPA's on-scene coordinator for the incident. "They still have people out there to take care of the remaining segments," he said.
