China pledges equal treatment for multinational firms

China's government "will continue to encourage foreign companies to invest and do business in China," and ensure multinational firms receive equal treatment and access, Premier Li Keqiang said in an address to the World Economic Forum. Chinese authorities are continuing investigations into charges of corruption and bribery by foreign companies, leading the European Chamber of Commerce in Beijing to criticize China's enforcement of anti-corruption laws.
