"Feed the Beat" promo is still rock 'n' roll to Taco Bell

Taco Bell is recruiting twice as many indie rock bands -- 100 -- for the latest edition of its "Feed the Beat" promotion in which the quick-service chain supplies groups with $500 worth of meal coupons. The effort, which also will feature a Web contest for bands to record a single, is meant to build brand awareness for Taco Bell and its late-night menu among its "Gen-Y" fans, according to this article.
