Broadcom agrees to acquire NetLogic for $3.7 billion

Broadcom plans to expand its portfolio of wireless communications semiconductors through its proposed acquisition of NetLogic Microsystems. The fabless semiconductor vendor will pay about $3.7 billion in cash for NetLogic, which counts Brocade Communications Systems, Cisco Systems and IBM among its customers.
