Obama's American Jobs Act proposal will head to Congress today

President Barack Obama is set to submit his $447 billion jobs proposal to Congress today. The plan has garnered cautious praise from House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, and other top House Republicans. The American Jobs Act, would expand the payroll-tax cut for employees and employers and would extend unemployment benefits.
