Bill stopping ACA insurance subsidies moves forward in House

A final vote is scheduled for today after the House voted 228-195 on Wednesday to advance legislation that would prevent payment of federal health insurance subsidies under the Affordable Care Act until the process includes verification of eligibility. Abuse and fraud are common in programs run by HHS, said Rep. Michael Burgess, R-Texas. The Obama administration said the bill would block access to health care.
