Ethanol output in Brazil's center south rose in 2nd half of August

Mills in Brazil's center south ran almost at full capacity in the second half of August despite some inclement weather, increasing ethanol output by nearly 10% and sugar production by 2.91% compared with the first half of the month, according to industry group Unica. August ethanol sales in the region were up 21.4% compared with the same period last year, Unica said.
