Gore gets FDA OK for device used in endovascular repair

The FDA has given W.L. Gore & Associates the go-ahead to market its Conformable GORE TAG Thoracic Endoprosthesis, designed to treat Type B dissections of the descending thoracic aorta. The catheter-based device is implanted via a small incision and can be used to treat patients with up to 42 millimeters in aortic diameter.
