How a garden is transforming learning at a Wis. school

Students at a Wisconsin elementary school are learning lessons in nutrition and academics at an on-campus garden. During a recent lesson about the metric system, students were asked to measure cherry tomatoes, beans and other items grown in the garden. Besides academics, the garden has helped encourage students to try new vegetables, parent partnership coordinator Theresa O'Brien said.
