Interconnected wind turbines will usher new wave of productivity, MIT professor says

Wind turbines that can adjust output based on data from other turbines are expected to boost wind farm efficiency, an expert in industrial productivity said. Round-the-clock interconnectivity, as seen in computers and the Internet, could set the stage for a new wave in productivity in various sectors, including wind power, said Erik Brynjolfsson, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
