International migration continues to rise, UN study says

A United Nations study reports that global migration has continued since the global economic recession, underscoring people's desire to seek work outside their country of origin. "Migration broadens the opportunities available to individuals and is a crucial means of broadening access to resources and reducing poverty," says Wu Hongbo, UN undersecretary-general for economic and social affairs.
