Study: Heart health of teens improves after bariatric surgery

A small study in Pediatric Surgery revealed many severely obese teens exhibited cardiac abnormalities similar to those of middle-aged patients. However, undergoing bariatric surgery helped reduce heart enlargement and improve blood flow in all patients, and flow was fully normalized in 60% of cases.
