Feds cancel penalty for not informing workers of health care marketplaces

The U.S. Labor Department posted a notice Wednesday indicating that employers will not be penalized for failing to educate workers by Oct. 1 about health insurance marketplaces created under the Affordable Care Act. Each company "should provide a written notice to its employees about the Health Insurance Marketplace ... but there is no fine or penalty under the law for failing to provide the notice," the department said on its website.
