HHS grants aim to improve veterans' care in rural areas

HHS is awarding close to $5.3 million to improve mental health care among veterans in rural areas through workforce support and enhanced telehealth services. Groups in 15 states will share nearly $4.4 million to hire and train staff to meet the IT needs of rural hospitals and clinics. In addition, three states will get $300,000 each to boost crisis intervention with telemedicine tools.
