Authority OKs $130M South Boston Waterfront facility

The Boston Redevelopment Authority has given the green light to a major new development for maritime industrial uses on the South Boston Waterfront. The $130 million facility, to be called the Boston Cargo Terminal, is expected to house seafood processors, cold-storage facilities and warehouses, and the developer, Marine Terminal Development LLC, plans three buildings with more than a half-million square feet.
