Study: MPI with microbubble contrast improves CAD detection

Real-time myocardial perfusion imaging using microbubble contrast improved the sensitivity of dobutamine stress echocardiography in pinpointing coronary artery disease compared with using wall-motion analysis, a study said. The study also showed that MPI with real-time perfusion improved the sensitivity of treadmill exercise stress echocardiography in determining CAD compared with the use of the method in dobutamine stress echocardiography.
