Medical device user fees to increase starting Oct. 1

The FDA is set to increase its user fees for medical devices by 8.5% starting next month. The standard 510(k) application fee will increase to $4,348 for the next fiscal year and the premarket approval application fee will be set at $236,298. Small businesses submitting a PMA will pay $59,075.
