Senate to consider tax, credit measures for small businesses

The Senate voted to consider a bill proposed last year by President Barack Obama that would ease credit and reduce taxes for small businesses. The provision strives to ease terms of loans backed by the Small Business Administration. It also would provide billions in tax breaks and help states that lend to small businesses. The measure would also provide smaller banks with billions of dollars to encourage lending.
